The amount and: Type of exercise you do depends on your overall health.  Your doc can advise you.  In general,  walking briskly is a good cardiovascular exercise.  Adding another hour of exercise may be pushing it, perhaps only on week ends or every other other day.  Be careful not to become compulsive about exercise; that can be a male form of anorexia. Walking with light: Hand weights... Is a good place to start.   150 minutes a week, and you will feel and see the difference.

Body form: Primarily a lower body and aerobic activity with loss off upper body mass if it is the only exercise that you do...Similar to running. Supplement this exercise with upper body resistance training and core exercise for optimizing "body form".

You can't: You know the rules and self discipline can be acquired by starting to do something about it. You are the long term loser. Try eating some raw food like salads. That does not need cooking skills.

Depends on how much: Sugar is considered a poison by many but a famous saying is "the poison is in the dose." if you eat healthy most of the time ; exercise, occasional sweets in moderation may not be terrible, but "a lot of sweets" isn't healthy (but again, not too bad if only on rare occasions). Resistance training: Toned means your muscles show through the fat. Resistance training (pushing or pulling against a weight) increases muscle mass, so it shows through the fat. Search online for 'resistance training for beginners.' an even better plan is to combine resistance training with a proper diet to reduce the fat that's hiding those muscles. Search online for 'paleo diet.'.

Exercise: at least half an hour a day of aerobic exercise, at least 3 additional weight training type sessions a week are also a good idea

YES: Running is good for cardiovascular health. Yoga stretching is good isometric exercise and can improve flexibility. For more information re: best exercise for your body type consider dna testing. This can be done through a saliva sample and checked for weight management, cardiovascular health, nutrition, diet, etc. Fyi, as we age more effort is needed to obtain same results achieved  when younger.
