my gf's new tongue piercing started to bleed profusely. do you know what causes this? she had alto of blood clots also in it.

Accepted Answer

Remove the piercing: The bleeding was caused by too much use prior to the piercing becoming fully healed. Remove the piercing and allow the hole to close if the bleeding continues or if she is willing to lose the piercing. If she would like to keep the piercing, apply pressure, swish and spit with salt water and try not to use the tounge. Drink fluids and do not eat rough foods.

Hemoptysis: is not normal to cough up blood. Reasons for hemoptysis include blood clot to the lungs pneumonia bronchitis bleeding problems. are you perhaps taking too much aspirin or nonsteroidals?

have what i think is a cold just coughed up flem with what looks like a blood clot head hurts , light hurts my eyes, throat is swollen slightly ...throat is thick ...do i need a dr...or will this pass

Coughing : Coughing up blood is worrisome. If you have not done so already you need to see a medical provider. Coughing up blood could mean that an infection is present (pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchitis, pharyngitis etc.) please see a doctor right away.

i have flu, dry cough, head ache and muscle aches, and had blood clots in mucus coming out my nose when blowing my nose. i was tested positive with covid 19, antibiotic medicines was given but should i do to stop the blood clots?

: The bloody discharge or clot is due to acute rhinitis, exacerbated with dry air, the bloody discharge will resolve when the inflammation subsides. You can use intranasal saline to moist the nasal mucosa + bedside humidifier to keep the humidity above 35%.

Rectal bleeding: Rectal bleeding is abnormal and could simply be due to hemorrhoids which were irritated by frequent loose stools. However other causes include more serious entities such as ulcerative colitis,infectious colitis,diverticulosis or growths in the colorectal area. You should be examined by your physician for diagnosis and treatment. He/she may refer you to a gastroenterologist.

Gum disease: You either have an infection in your gums or a tooth. You must see a dentist asap as any infection can cause problems in other areas of your body plus it can also lead to tooth loss.
Most likely you have calculus on your root surfaces which causes the gums to swell, bleed and become unattached to the teeth and bone. Then when you eat you can get things such as popcorn shells into the gums.

Depends: There are a lot of qualitative terms in your question. 

Anal fissures normall cause bleeding that you see on the toilet paper or toilet bowl. A small drop of blood in a large bowl of water can seem like a lot of blood. 

Depends on how you are rating what a lot of blood is, when and where you are seeing it and other symptoms.  

Blood clots are not typical for a fissure, but possible.

Extraction: You should have received post-op instructions After your teeth were extracted.
 Bite on gauze or a wet teabag to stop the bleeding. Call your dentist or surgeon to see them for a post- op exam, especially if the bleeding does not stop.

i had my wisdom teeth out a week ago today. when i was flushing the socket with the syringe they gave me a white tissue like thing came out. there was no bleeding. did i accidentally dislodge the blood clot? can i get dry socket after 7 days?

Not to worry...: if you're not having any real pain or a dull ache...no dry socket.
They may have put some packing in the hole that was left.   The usual thing is just food that collects in that hole and then you flushed it out.  No pain or bleeding..go about your buz and don't worry. But... if you are concerned go back to whomever removed them and see.   Peace of mind is valuable.
