No: The CBC checks your white blood cells, red cells, and platelets.  People with kidney disease frequently have anemia (low red cell counts), but the CBC is not a kidney test.  Bun, creatinine, and urine analysis would be a good starting point to evaluate for kidney problems.

Possible ...: High WBC in CBC may be found in usual healthy persons with real kidney infection. Of course, such finding has to be correlated with clinical pictures and physicals. For detailed assessment,  collect the onset, degree, duration, and interval of symptoms with their detailed sequence of event, and bring  those to Doc for analysis, more Hx, physicals, and possible tests so to deduce Dx for possible Rx

cbc shows high wbc nothing else. pain that moves around my back (upper/lower/waistline) no kidney stones on xray. doc says diverticulitis but no symptoms like that. i just had breast cancer/mastectomy 1 yr ago and i'm scared. what could this be?

High wbc ?'s: Increased white blood cell count is a sign of acute infection/inflammation.  The migration of the pain above and below the waist usually is caused by inflammatory bowel disease. Ask for a GI physician referral for the diagnosis.

Testing time: Time to do the tests is about an hour. However, when you take into account the time it takes the blood to get to the lab and the paper work associated with it, about 4 hours is a reasonable turn around time. How long it takes your doctor to inform you of the results is variable.

No one can answer: I'm a lab specialist. Questions like this simply cannot be answered. You haven't told us how high the eos are, how low the potassium is. Low creatinine means nothing but is unusual in a young man unless he's malnourished. Lab reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside. If you feel well, stop worrying.

See details: I assume you are talking about small kidney stones. Your uric acid level is too high and you should be on allopurinol to drive your serum uric acid level below 6 mg/dl. An elevated uric acid increases the risk for both uric acid and calcium stones.

Depends: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would have been more useful to know the actual values than just the ratio. Drink plenty of water before you repeat the test next week.

Unlikely: sexual transmission of hepatitis c is uncommon, though never say never.  An initial manifestation may result in liver inflammation but you would be jaundiced.  That inflammation will resolve after a time and then go into a latent stage; at any time from the initial manifestation onward it can be detected and treated.  Get liver function tests and hep c antibody, if normal/negative then no worries
