Sleep hygiene tips: Agree w dr. Ali.  Here are highlights. Retire & rise same time each day. Keep bedroom dark & cool & use only for sex & sleep. Turn off tv. No naps. Exercise regularly but not in late evening. No caffeine for 6 hrs & no alcohol or tobacco w/i 2 hrs of sleep. Keep dinner moderate sized & finish at least 2 to 3 hrs before sleep. Can try warm milk, chamomile tea or melatonin along w light reading, &gt;.

See your MD: Wow, that's a long time without sleep.  Get a ride (don't drive) to your md to try to determine why this is happening.  Also, have good sleep hygiene, such as establishing a bedtime schedule, avoiding alchohol, excess food or exercise prior to bed, etc.

Biofeedback: SLEEP:Avoid drugs for sleep, weight loss, nervousness, anxiety  and wait gain. Usually try behavior modification, punctuality in sleeping, read a book and warm milk  fi u like. Avoid caffeine, drinking, TV in room. Do regular exercise. 
Once on drugs for sleep u mau find it hard to regain ur self control.Use drugs only if a MD dx of symptomatic insomnia.

Good Sleep Hygiene: Try these easy ideas. 1 - only use the bed for sleep and sex: reading, watching television or other activities can disturb associating the bed with sleeping. 2 - make sleep a routine by sleeping at the same time every day. 3 - exercise at least 2 hours before sleeping. 4 - avoid eating or drinking at least 2 hours before sleeping. 5 - empty your bladder before sleeping. 6 - avoid late naps.

Talk about feelings &amp; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine &amp; alcohol (or  moderate). Try Qi Gong, Tai Chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, Yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or Progressive muscle relaxation. Take care.
