Taping: Taping muscle can aid in recovering from injury. Spider taping has been used in athletes for this purpose, with some good results reported. There is no need to tape a muscle if you are healthy, without injury.

No you're fine: I am nearly twice your age and I continue to wrestle competitively as well as training six days per week at approximately 2 to 4 hours per day.  I also work full-time, have a family, and I feel great. No smoking, no drinking, and I do my best to watch my diet in terms of quality and I keep my weight down for competitive reasons.  No, you are not overdoing it. Keep on trucking man!

Depends on…: What form you're using & how severe the injury. Olfen (diclofenac) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for mild-moderate pain. Inongan (methyl salicylate) is usually a topical anti-inflmmatory. Prolonged use of diclofenac may irritate the stomach. Frequent use of salicylates can affect hearing. If using either only short-term, decide according to the amount of pain: diclofenac for more sever.

are toric lenses viable for sports use such as soccer? or should i stick to normal lenses even though i have an astigmatism?

: Many possible injuries with fall on outstretched wrist/hand. Possible fracture of the scaphoid or distal radius, potential for ligament injuries or triangular fibrocartilage tear. Evaluation should include exam by hand surgeon and possible xrays and mri.

: Odd post. Why is soccer only a boys game? Why must a 14 year old want to date? In many cultures it is not considered proper until 16 or older. You write she does well in her school work and has a hobby, why is that bad? It sounds like you have firm pre-conceived notions about how a kid should act. I don't consider what you describe as deviant or in need of change. Discuss this with your doc.

what should i do? i was playing soccer when my friend tripped me. i then fell on my ankle, which is the one that i sprained four months ago. i can't walk on it, or put any weight on it. i don't know if i should use crutches or not! please help!

I : I recommend that you let your parents know what has happened. I recommend that you be seen by a medical provider to determine the extent of damage to your ankle. In the mean time, rest your foot and ankle, . Your parents can provide you with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication like motrin, or if they don't have this type of medication, tylenol (acetaminophen) can help the pain.  It would be helpful for you to elevate your foot. Prop it up on soft pillows to help prevent swelling.  Icing it can also help. Do you have a bag of frozen peas or corn in your fridge - this can be used without cutting open the bag. Can put on your ankle for 15 minutes several times a day. A  light bandage can be used for gentle (never overly tight) compression. I recommend that you get your parent's help with this.

i've had patellar tendonitis for 8 months, would you recommend i'd try prp or prolotherapy? if not, what would you recommend. i'm trying to play soccer intensely like i use to. the tendonitis has made me gain weight since i can't be active.

MRI images needed: Recalcitrant/chronic patellar tendonosis or -it is usually respond to appropriate nonop treatment. Rarely, operative management is undertaken to debride the mucinous degenerative tissue that may be present (via MRI) at the deep surface of the tendon juxtaposed to the inferior pole of the patella (your kneecap). Adjunctive injections can also potentiate recovery in some clinical series in print.
