Odd post. Why is soccer only a boys game? Why must a 14 year old want to date? In many cultures it is not considered proper until 16 or older. You write she does well in her school work and has a hobby, why is that bad? It sounds like you have firm pre-conceived notions about how a kid should act. I don't consider what you describe as deviant or in need of change. Discuss this with your doc.

Sounds like a totally normal 14 year old female. Soccer is not a boys game (my teenage daughter plays soccer). Legos are used by kids and adults. Use of social media is definitely not a marker of maturity. 14 yo dating is not typical. Dont let internet tell you what is normal. Let her be a kid and develop how she does; she will grow up soon enough. Check with a family med physician if concerned.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. You may not have stated your concern that you are thinking that your daughter may be lesbian. Even if she is, that is normal variation on human nature. Be loving and supporting. Your daughter seems to be a normal responsible girl. I wish her good health, happiness and prosperity. May she bring you happiness!
