Even if u can only do it for 3 minutes initially until u work ur way up to a 30 minute relaxation session within a few weeks! u're investing in urself & ur future by doing that, so don't feel rushed to master it immediately!  if severe & very stressful mind racing, consult also w/ a psychiatrist/psychologist. Focus on enjoying the process; outcome will follow!

Depends: If you are experiencing symptoms of mania or hypomania, standard mood stabilizers work.  They include lithium, topiramate, lamotrigene, depakote, and some antipsychotics.
If your thoughts are more along the lines of obsessional rumination, then the traditional antidepressants, taken at higher doses, work well. Please seek evaluation from a psychiatrist who can diagnose and treat you.

Anxiety relief: We all get over-wound with stress sometimes, and gentle, soothing self-care can help a lot.  Too much caffeine, nicotine & processed sugary foods, and not enough exercise, sunlight, sleep & quiet time to take care of ourselves can all trigger anxiety.  Try listening to music you love or playing a video game to engage other parts of your brain.  If none of this works, ask your family doc for help.
