Yes very much so!: The disk is the well known cause but arthritic spurs push the nerve against the bone, or thickened ligaments or against a bulging disk (not necessarily a herniated one).
If pain meds and therapy does not help, then Epidural or Facet joint injections can be tried. If nothing helps then surgical decompression may be needed.
See your PCP to refer you onwards to an Orthopod or a spine Surgeon.

Cervical myelopathy: Cervical spondylotic myelopathy is a spinal cord disorder that  affects older patients. Spondylosis refers to the degenerative changes that occur in the spine which leads to stenosis, this can cause myelopathy(compression of the spinal cord/nerves). Symptoms can include pain/numbness/weakness gait abnormalities. Depending on the severity surgery may be recommended. Discuss with neurosurgeon.

Foraminal stenosis: Narrowing of exiting holes used by nerves roots to get out of spine to legs or arms thes segmental holes are called foramen stenosis means narrowing spondylitic means arthritic so holes aeb smaller because of disc space narrowing and or bone spurs crowding holes.

Not exactly: Spondylitic changes usually affect the areas where there is movement of the spine-ie. The joints. It can lead to some collaspe of the intervertebral discs and autofusion of the discs. This might be what you are referring to. Certainly, some of the degenerative changes that affect the facet joints may lead to the appearance of some collaspe of the vertebrae. Terminology is often confusing.

Neck problems: Cervical spondylosis refers to chronic calcium build-up and remodeling of the bone in the neck from severe degenerative arthritis. Myelomalacia means "softening" of the spinal cord inside affect vertebra due to the chronic pressure from these calcium spurs. Foraminal stenosis means narrowing of the space in between vertebra through which the nerves pass. The treatment is decompressive surgery.

Idiopathic scoliosis: Firstly, who determined 18? I would not trust the radiology report, it should be done by a scoliosis surgeon. Otherwise, all this means is that you had typical adolescent scoliosis with a reasonable curve but below the threshold for surgery and arguable even bracing, although I brace kids at 15 degrees. Your curve will not progress since you are skeletally mature.

Degeneration: It indicates degeneration. It is sometimes called 'arthritis' it is part of the normal aging process. It may or may not cause symptoms (such as pain). The correlation between x-ray changes and symptoms is poor. Folks with 'horrible' spondylosis can be doing fine. Others with 'minimal' changes may have limiting pain. See a spinal doctor or you primary if you fall in the latter category.

i have ankylosing spondylitis and have experienced a tender vertebra for the last 6 months. could this be progressive as? other as symptoms are mild.

Possibly: With A/S your vertebral joints cannot heal as quickly when strained, hence, become inflamed and tender more easily. Speak with your rheumatologist about reducing the inflammation with alternative (turmeric) or prescription agents NSAIDS. Pain docs can also inject  specific joints to ease your burden. TNS units, topical anti inflammatory (flector patch) agents can help too.

NO: Degenerative changes occur in all of us through out life for various reasons. Everywhere for repetitive motion to injury to illness. Degenerative changes are a result of an inflammatory process.

Curvature: The xray reveals that you have scoliosis of your spine at the midback level. Since you've been diagnosed with ankylosing. spondylitis in the past,you should be evaluated, advised and properly treated by an orthopedic specialist with an interest in spinal pathology. Referral to a rheumatologist may be recommended, also.
