Cervical myelopathy: Cervical spondylotic myelopathy is a spinal cord disorder that affects older patients. Spondylosis refers to the degenerative changes that occur in the spine which leads to stenosis, this can cause myelopathy(compression of the spinal cord/nerves). Symptoms can include pain/numbness/weakness gait abnormalities. Depending on the severity surgery may be recommended. Discuss with neurosurgeon.

Spinal cord scar: If you mean myelomalacia from spondylosis (neck degenerative arthritis), it is abnormal signal in the spinal cord seen on mri. If there is recent trauma, the signal can be blood or edema (swelling, bruising). In chronic settings it probably represents scar tissue in the cord. Treatment is indirect. Surgery enlarges the space for the spinal cord to prevent further damage.
