is it normal to still have joint pain 2 weeks after an iron infusion?

Not surprising: I certainly would not consider a joint effusion two weeks after an iron infusion normal, but it is not unheard of nor is it surprising.  If there is some underlying reason for inflammation in the knee, such as a meniscal tear or arthritis, the iron infusion can exacerbate the pre-existing inflammation in the knee. This will cause the infusion to stick around longer. If you have other symptoms, i may seek further advice from orthopod. May need joint drained and fluid sent for analysis.

still got joint pain 7 weeks after iron infusion, but my dr wants me to have another one. surely this will just make the joint pain worse.

More info needed: I do not understand the relationship of iron infusion and joint problem.  What caused the iron deficiency?  Had oral supplements been tried.  You should ask your physician to explain what is going on and what your blood counts are.

: After receiving Aclasta infusion, celebrex or mypaid forte can be used for joint pain but kidney function needs to be monitored. Take care.

17yr old had an iron infusion 6 days ago, still  extreme tiredness, nausea has only been able to eat small amounts and sore  joints . is this normal?

IV iron: Even with full replacement of low iron stores, it can take up to a month to make 2-3 pints of blood so i suspect that is why your teen is still tired. The nausea and joint pains are symptoms which can be seen following the administration of IV iron. Please notify your teen's md about these symptoms so they can determine whether or not something serious is going on.

does mild sclerosis of bilateral sacroiliac joints due to mild degenerative changes have chance of no further degeneration? constant quad spasms, trouble sleeping, neck,spine,hip, ankle pain. symptoms worse quickly. i get iron infusions,iga,g,m def?

Mild degen changes: There is always a chance that mild degenerative changes can progress to moderate or severe issues, depends on how well you take care of yourself to prevent more damage

Spasm: Sounds like a spasm of the trapezius muscle. If there was no injury and it came on quickly or you woke up with it, likely a spasm. You can try swimming if you have access to pool. If it doesn't resolve or gets worse, should be seen by doctor.

Abscess: You may be describing an abscess or pus pocket eg painful swelling. Best to go see your Family Doc ASAP for evaluation &amp; treatment as you may need to get swelling lanced &amp; drained then started on antibiotics. Go to Urgent Care or ER if necessary. You may apply warmth/heat temporarily if necessary. In meantime, mark circumference of swelling w/indelible pen to give docs some idea of spread.

one of my clavicle bones sticks out at the end closest to my shoulder joint. i have no injuries, it has been this way for years. is there a problem?

Not likely: This usually represents normal wear of the joint at he end of the clavicle. If there is pain see your local doctor.
