Abscess: You may be describing an abscess or pus pocket eg painful swelling. Best to go see your Family Doc ASAP for evaluation & treatment as you may need to get swelling lanced & drained then started on antibiotics. Go to Urgent Care or ER if necessary. You may apply warmth/heat temporarily if necessary. In meantime, mark circumference of swelling w/indelible pen to give docs some idea of spread.
