i have had numbness in my tongue for three days. should i be concerned? should i call my doctor? what could this tongue numbness mean?

Nerve injury: You didn't specify the numbness just happened for no reason or it was after a dental procedure? Please specify. Numbness in tongue means there is a nerve damage or pressure on the nerve that serves sensation to the tongue. 
If it is spontaneous please see a doctor asap. Keep us posted.

i went to the doctor and he had to check my throat but my tongue was in the way.  what is this called and is there anything i can do for it?

NOT REALLY: I assume this was a gag reflex and some just have more of it than others.  If the doc really had to see your throat, s/he could use a spray to numb it first, but that is unpleasant enough that not indicated unless the exam itself is really important.

i used baby orajel on my tongue and it caused my mouth to swell and its hard to smile, move my lips and to lick my lips. should i call the doctor?

See answer: If your tongue or throat seem swollen get to an ER. Any trouble breathing, call rescue squad.  You may be having an allergic reaction. Call your Dr for advice or a poison control center.

good afternoon doctors! dentist question. i told my dentist that my mouth "felt funny"--she saw it might be whatshe called possible "mild recession," and gave me sensodyne toothpaste. how is sensodyne different from say pepsodent or crest or colgate?

Sensodyne: Sensodyne toothpaste has a higher concentration of fluoride than most other toothpastes. The additional fluoride will help desensitize your teeth, if that is the cause of your issues. It certainly won't hurt.

i went to dental clinic today and just found a lot of blisters in mouth. never had before. why do i have? so scary. should i leave them or call doc?

Diagnosis: What did the doctors at the clinic say your blisters were? They actually saw them and their location, info that is needed to make a proper diagnosis. If they do not know what the lesions are, they should refer you to an oral surgeon who may have more experience with such problems. All the best.

what are side effects of klonopin withdrawal? i've been on it for more than 4 years..2.5 mg a day.. my doctor told me to take .5 mg less every week.. i have an extremely dry mouth and lips and really bad headaches..can't call my doctor he is on vaca?

: I certainly agree with a very slow taper off klonopin with supervision by your prescribing MD. The usual withdrawal symptoms are ones for which klonopin was prescribed with anxiety,irritation, insomnia high on the list. If your current symptoms are similar to your preklonopin ones, your taper is too fast&amp;you'll have to take prior week's dose&amp; get instructions from your MD when he/she returns.

very scared. urinalysis just came back due to frequent urination and dry mouth. rbc was 7 in urine. 6 months ago it was 2. trace of leukocytes and trace of blood. waiting for doctor to call to discuss results. should i be worried. i feel tired uti?

Talk to your GP: Salty taste in your mouth can be caused by a variety of things. Try discussing with your GP instead of a specialist who only focuses on specific areas. Some typical causes can be Diabetes, certain meds that cause dry mouth, mineral supplements, chronic borderline dehydration, GERD, nutritional/vitamin deficiencies, hormone fluctuations, and certain cancers.
