What are side effects of klonopin withdrawal? i've been on it for more than 4 years..2.5 mg a day.. my doctor told me to take .5 mg less every week.. i have an extremely dry mouth and lips and really bad headaches..can't call my doctor he is on vaca?

I certainly agree with a very slow taper off klonopin with supervision by your prescribing MD. The usual withdrawal symptoms are ones for which klonopin was prescribed with anxiety,irritation, insomnia high on the list. If your current symptoms are similar to your preklonopin ones, your taper is too fast&you'll have to take prior week's dose& get instructions from your MD when he/she returns.
