You can get infected with the virus circulating in the blood of the infected user or you can get infected by your white blood cells engulfing and destroying the infected users blood cells that carry the virus or the dna to take over your cell's brain.

Actively sharing needles for drug use is a very common way to get hepatitis b and c and hiv.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't observe Universal Precautions, including sterile single-use needles.

: There is the possibility however you should not be anxious because most likely the glove is clean and that means bacteria count is low. Your blood has white blood cells and other mechanisms to quickly detect anything foreign and likely to round it up contain and clean it right away unless the contamination is overwhelming. If redness or swelling watch for two days, if getting better danger over.

No shot needed.: If it's a non-rusty sewing needle, it's unlikely you will need tetanus shot.  This shot lasts 5-10 years.  If you haven't had the shot over 6 years. It;s best to get another one.  This will protect you for future deep wound or cut injuries that may put you at risk for tetanus.
