No: Hi. No, your bowel prep does not sound even close to adequate for a good study. Tell the gastroenterologist. For all I know, vomiting the bowel prep material may be a manifestation of your GI problem (if you have a GI problem). You'll need to have a clean prep for a worthwhile colonoscopy.

Mucus w/ colonoscopy: Do not worry likely just from the membranes just like we have secretions in our mouth. You can ask the doctor at the colonoscopy

Yes: Clear, liquid "stool" is the ideal end result of the prep for colonoscopy.

Yes: Small amt of blood will not cause problems with colonoscopy. Continue the bowel prep and have the colonoscopy to diagnose the problem.

Low Chance ; BUT: At 40, a colonoscopy which shows no cancer less than 2 years ago is reassuring. Regardless, ASK your doctors advice about these new symptoms. Anorectal diseases such as hemorrhoids and  fissures can cause changes to bowel caliber, but a thorough evaluation of the area needs to be done. While colon cancers are uncommon to grow in such a short span, it is not impossible. In short, see your doctor!!

Maybe ok: Optimally it should be clear and watery. Any dark color stool may hide small polyps. At times they can do a water enema in office before the procedure. It's doctor dependent, just discuss w your doctor before  the procedure. Make sure the prepp is all finished. You want to consume 16oz of water after each liter of prepp.

i took miralax prep for colonoscopy tomorrow..also 4 stool softeners as directed along with the broth jello diet..started the cleanse at 4 p.m. still ?

May take awhile: Hi BShetty,
The bowel prep for a colonoscopy can be very challenging to take. Because the goal is to clear your colon of stool completely, the regimen is very aggressive and you may be having bowel movements almost continuously until it is just clear liquid coming out. Depending on the regimen, you may also experience residual cramping as the effects of the laxative wear off. Hope this helps.

Depends: People who tend toward the constipated side may need more than a 1 day prep to adequately perform a colonoscopy.

can colonoscopy prep cause mild inflammation and redness in small intestine? i sometimes have loose stools with no other symptoms. worried it's crohns

Inflammation : Bowel prep does not usually cause that , however it is possible.Crohns would cause you more severe symptoms and if it's was   the prep I would think that the inflammation would disappear after completing the procedure. Good Luck

Pasty stool: Is generally a mild form of constipation resulting from being dehydrated. Adding 40-40 extra ounces of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily should resolve this problem.
