No: Hi. No, your bowel prep does not sound even close to adequate for a good study. Tell the gastroenterologist. For all I know, vomiting the bowel prep material may be a manifestation of your GI problem (if you have a GI problem). You'll need to have a clean prep for a worthwhile colonoscopy.

Unlikely: if you don't have clear stool then the camera on the colonoscopy can't pass through it. Try reading the instructions your doctor gave you. It might talk about what to do or a number to call if you can't tolerate your prep. Other people have this problem too. Sometimes you make another trip to pharmacy. Hope this helps.

No: With such an insufficient preparation colonoscopy is not worthwhile as the operator will not be able to properly visualize the colon and you would only have to go through the full preparation again.

Call GI office: Hi Joyce, I am sorry to hear you are having such difficulties with your bowel prep. More than likely the colonoscopy would be rescheduled if you aren't 'clean' because stool in the colon severely limits visualization during the procedure. If your doctor is looking at one specific area, they may continue on as scheduled, but its best to call ahead and let them know what has happened.
