No worries: That is normal as well. The important lab result is to make sure your uric acid level is less than 6 mg/dl.

had full lab work up ,cbc normal as well as sodium/potassium, liver tests and a1c, creatinine was .98 /efgr of 100. my question is, ive had what i believe to be frequent urination, if it was a kidney issue with those test to be off? anxiety cause?

: They do not show all causes. Ask about low body K, other meds.

my d dimer is elevated (500) 34 yo no history besides kidney stones and old ulcer, have chest pain and sob, & doe, ct clean for pe, ultrasound clean for clots, not pregnant, no infection. other lab work (cbc, bmp, lfp, coag)normal. would could it be?

: Your symptoms may indicate a PE, and another imaging screening may be considered, and EKG 12 lead may be associated with abnormalities. Consider cardiac conditions and a Cardiology appointment. There are other causes of an elevated D Dimer test and PE should be ruled out.

high bp was controlled with lisinoprol. in august dr switched cuz of labs (l sodium h potassium h kidney function) since then i have been on 4 diff ones most recent atenolol with then adding enalapril & now upping enalapril. nothing controls it?

: Get a second opinion regarding control of hypertension. There are many other drugs which can be used successfully, and frequentl a combination is necessary to control it in some indivduals.

: You should give us the Hb, MCV &amp; MCH if these tests are done for the etiology of anemia. By these numbers, you do not have anemia due to hemolysis, multiple myeloma, less likely iron deficiency but chronic kidney disease-related anemia could not be ruled out. In early stage of CKD, erythropoietin level is still normal and it should be high if you have anemia due to non CKD related diseases.

Testing time: Time to do the tests is about an hour. However, when you take into account the time it takes the blood to get to the lab and the paper work associated with it, about 4 hours is a reasonable turn around time. How long it takes your doctor to inform you of the results is variable.

my lab results came back with elevated alt (81) and ast (51) but all other liver function/cbc all normal. could i have cirhossis? i'm about 20lbs overweight and taking seroquel. 33male, have had results like this before but also 2 test normal result?

: Your lab results are suggestive more of fatty liver associated with overweight especially if your blood pressure and cholesterol level are high as well.

No: The CBC checks your white blood cells, red cells, and platelets.  People with kidney disease frequently have anemia (low red cell counts), but the CBC is not a kidney test.  Bun, creatinine, and urine analysis would be a good starting point to evaluate for kidney problems.

Possible ...: High WBC in CBC may be found in usual healthy persons with real kidney infection. Of course, such finding has to be correlated with clinical pictures and physicals. For detailed assessment,  collect the onset, degree, duration, and interval of symptoms with their detailed sequence of event, and bring  those to Doc for analysis, more Hx, physicals, and possible tests so to deduce Dx for possible Rx
