Do pushup: But use a "cheat" until stronger. Put arms against elevated support (bureau, 1/2-wall, chair, etc.) to angle body higher. Do assisted-push up from this positon as many as able, until strong enough to attempt with lower/shorter support. Eventually will not need any support, and viola! there you go.

when i do pushups my elbows make a popping sound, no pain. one pop when arm straighten. what?

Popping elbow: This sound is a stiff tendon moving across a bone. Warm up your elbows first, even with heat from a pad. And make your first few pushups half pushups, so that strain is lessened until ypu are more warmed up. Full exercise with cold snapping tendons can irritate and possibly strain or sprain further.

arms give out after 10 min of bodyweight exercise. i just fall and can't support myself. can't even do one knee push up. 30lbs overweight. see a dr?

You may: Seeing a doctor would not hurt. However, you may need to work on your endurance by sticking with your exercise routine and do as much as you can tolerate and gradually increase the duration and intensity of exercise. You know that losing weight would help.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Medial epicondilitis: It may be a medial epicondilitis or enthesopathy with maybe entrapment of the ulnar nerve. Sometime they take a long time to heal. If you are concern made a consultation in HealthTap prime or a private physician in your area.

Shoulders chest: Push up strengthen arms extensors ie triceps shoulder and chest muscles. An excellent exercise for development of those muscles. Will strengthen and some growth. As to number must be progressive increasing number over time. Should not perform same routine daily body needs time to grow and repair.

so i've been doing push-ups lately and i've noticed a sharp shock sensation up my arm sometimes. it's very annoying. i am healthy too. what is this??

Strain vs sprain: It's very possible that you strained a muscle and/or ligament OR sprained a ligament by overdoing things or perhaps from poor technique. Use RICE (rest, ice, compression &amp; elevation) for now plus OTC pain relief eg ibuprofen OR naproxen and/or acetaminophen. See your FamilyDoc if no better in a few days to weeks, sooner if numbness/tingling/weakness or redness/swelling.

Get it evaluated: It depends on the location of the pain. Is it shoulder, elbow, etc. There is no way to tell without an exam.
