Normal: Probably just nodular subcutaneous (fatty) tissue.

Lymph nodes: That area of the body is rich in lymph nodes.  So it is not unusual to find them there.  However, if the node is painful or enlarging it should be evaluated.  Lymph nodes serve as filters for white blood cells.   I would keep track of it.  If it gets bigger or painful(besides you checking it) it should be looked into.

i can palpate my 2 supraclavicular lymph  nodes. they aprx. 1.2 cm above my collar bone.  they are small and rubbery. is it normal?

Merits evaluation: Although lymph nodes above the clavicles are usually not prominent enough to be felt, they are not necessarily abnormal.  However, a careful exam, possibly including chest X-rays, would be appropriate.  Disease in the head and neck, throat, lungs and blood can cause enlarged supraclavicular lymph nodes.  Disease can include cancer, infections and autoimmune disease.

two small lymph nodes movable above my collar bone (right side) i really need to tilt my head in a suitable position to palpate them. is it normal?

Changing?: 'Reactive lymph nodes' is the term we use for nodes that swell in response to something like an infection. These should appear but then regress over a matter of weeks. If the swellings you have described are not regressing then it would be sensible to have them checked as there is a wide range of other possible causes to consider.

i have noticed a small single lymph node behind my collar bone, feels like almost in tendons of my neck at the bottom left side. i'm super worried i may have cancer or something it's tender to touch and feels like only one node. ?

Unlikely cancer: Have this examined for your peace of mind, but this finding does not sound like a cancer.  It may or may not even be a lymph node, as many muscle and tendons are in this area as well. Good luck

If you don't find: Your lymph nodes that is good. Encourage you to stop torturing yourself.  Clearly you are driving your own anxiety levels up.

Lymphnodes : Please get evaluated by a practitioner. If there is concern that these are getting larger then you need a lymph node biopsy to further work this up.

can strep cause enlarged lymph nodes near the collar bone ?

Accepted Answer

Yes.: Bacterial infections, including strep can cause enlarged lymph nodes that are near the site of infection.  If that is the cause, if the infection is successfully treated the nodes should shrink back down.  Persistently enlarged nodes, or nodes that continue to enlarge need evaluation.
