You'll find out in: The next two weeks :-).  The baby and all the rest that you're carrying in the front puts some pressure on the veins  coming from your legs into the pelvis.  This causes a back pressure that results in the water retention found so often in pregnant women.  Elevate your feet as often as possible, and be patient.  Best of luck with the new baby.

Sex is a tried and true way for many women due to prostaglandins in the semen than can induce labor. You can ask your obgyn to strip the membranes at your next visit. The doctor or nurse will want to know how many minutes apart the contractions are, whether or not they are coming closer, plus what kind and how much "discharge" is coming from the vagina.
