Home remedies: You can gargle w aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey ; a small amt of lemon juice helps. For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for strep throat.

the HCG diet is based on about 500 cal/day.
The over the counter HCG is not the real hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin, --
a pregnancy hormone.This hormone, hcg, is supposed to cause a decrease in hunger etc. I can't say this is a true statement.I do not have any research articles on the validity of this claim.But, I am concerned about the safety of HCG for patients. Could it potentiate ca?

See below: Any fresh fruit, any fresh vegetable, any legume or bean, any whole grain that isnt processed. Lean cuts of meat, chicken and turkey without the skin. Eggs and low fat dairy products. Healthy fish include salmon, fresh tuna, mackerel, and sardines. Nuts ( unsalted) are also healthy.

Google carbohydrates: Carbohydrates are good sources of energy, but they are easy to overdo! healthy carbohydrates include whole grain bread and cereals like oatmeal. Less healthy carbs include cakes, cookies, candy - you get the point: sugar is a carbohydrate! alcohol is a carbohydrate. You may want to limit your carbs to the healthier ones and try to reduce your intake of sugary junk food. Good luck.

Ok......: you cannot stay on a clear liquid diet for enough time to have it lower weight. you CAN increase water/flavored water at the expense of less food (like rehydrating after exercise) and that is reasonable.

Check web-site: I don't have info on the atkins diet, since i don't find it of any use. Check w/a registered dietitian and get support from weight watchers or other quality programs. Eat less and exercise more. It's the only way.

They are: beets, spinach, rhubarb, strawberries, nuts, chocolate, tea, wheat bran, and all dry beans (fresh, canned, or cooked), excluding lima and green beans. It is best to avoid these foods.  Drinking 3 to 4 liters per day of fluid is essential.
