i am happy your pediatrician did not prescribe it as the prescription form, vit d2, may actually be hazardous! you want the otc d3. You can find drops that are 1000 iu/drop and 1 drop a day is the optimal dose. You may find better quality drops at your local health food store.

Milk: As long as your child takes 24 ounces of milk per day I wouldn't be concerned. Also you don't mention your child's age and if he is taking solids, in which case his milk intake would drop
