Anorexia: Appetite is a complex process mediated by the brain, emotions, metabolic needs, health of the gut &amp; surrounding organs. Lack of weight loss would be good news here. I recommend a visit to your doctor to discuss the circumstances that preceded your anorexia &amp; that may contribute to its persistence. Simple testing is appropriate. Of note, your B12 level is normal.

All animal foods: All meats, dairy ; eggs have b12; no  vegetarian foods have it unless fortified. Best sources are clams ; beef liver (only  have liver if organic). Many have difficulty absorbing B12 ; are thus low even if they eat foods rich in b12; they need injections or sublingual methylcobalamin.

Best to supplement: Trace amounts of the cyanocobalamin form of B12 can be found added to cereals, non-dairy milks, meat substitutes and one type of Red Star Yeast. But it may not be enough and our bodies have to convert it to methylcobalamin, which some people do poorly. Why not take 1000 mcg of methylcobalamin? Even doing that a 2 or 3  times a week should insure you get adequate B12.

B12 is vital.: I highly recommend a book, "the world's healthiest foods" by george mateljan.
B12 can't be made by animals or plants, but by microorganisms like bacteria.  In addition to beef (grass-fed please), yogurt, low-fat milk, eggs, salmon, scallops, shrimp, venison, sardines are good sources of b12.  If you are a vegetarian, it is essential to take vit B12 supplement. By the way, a great question.
