can diamox make your vision worse? i have possible iih, so they prescribed diamox. i never had any eye issues since starting the medication, but every time i restart it i get new or worsening eye floaters?

Accepted Answer

: Diamox does NOT cause floaters in one or both eyes and would consider vitreous or retinal detachments a better explanation.  But increased intracranial pressure can cause obscuration of vision if not well controlled, and your fluctuating use of the medication may be an explanation.  Discuss this with your doctor and consider a visit with an ophthalmologist.

every few weeks, when i wake up i'm incredibly dizzy and nauseous for the day. the only time the world stops spinning is when i'm lying down. my vision blur. it lasts a day or 2. is it a type of panic attack or diabetes?

Vertigo: What you are describing sounds like a type of vertigo, which is often due to an inner ear dysfunction. Ideally you should be evaluated by a neurologist 
   Most commonly this is a disturbing, but benign condition.

i have had excessive bright red menstrual bleeding two weeks straight. my vision is worsening. i also have my neck muscle got bigger the other day.

See a Doctor: Any bleeding more than 7 days in a row needs to be evaluated. Please do a pregnancy test as well. You may have a polyp, growth or cyst on ovary or a miscarriage.

Get neuro eval: Unremitting headaches with double vision needs a work up. MRI scans should be done to rule,out pathology, and a thorough neurological evaluation. With a lobectomy in your past, this is overdue.

my heads been hurting for like a week, i cant sleep well and now my vision is getting blurred and im struggling to think properly. i get regular headaches every week. should i go to the hospital? should i seek help? what type?

Headaches: You definitely need to be evaluated. I'm suspicious of you're having pseudotumor cerebri, seen in women and is benign but highly symptomatic. Usually a neurologist is the specialist who investigates the cause of headaches and appropriate testing will be carried out. Testing may include brain ct scan or MRI, lumbar puncture to measure intracranial pressure and tests of eye function

i've had neck pain headaches arm pain numbness and weakness for over a year. in the last couple weeks i've had blurry vision and a problem with my balance all day every day. i also have back pain mostly mid to lower back. what could this be?

: Your recent symptoms (visual disturbance and losing balance) is not related to your chronic issues (headache and neck shoulder syndrome). You need to have your eye checked first and go from there.

i scratched my cornea last week on november 29th. every since then, i have blurry vision. my eye doctor prescribed me eye ointment for my eye, but it's still a little blurry, but not as bad when i went to the doctor.

Eye Hope This Helps: They heal pretty fast but it depends on the size,depth &amp; location of the abrasion.If right in the line of sight,over the pupil,it could take several weeks before your vision is back to what it was.Try looking through a pinhole &amp; see if it clears up.If it does,then it's likely something else,unless that"something else"was there before the injury.Try moisturizing eye drops for a while,then a recheck

Variable: Cannot easily answer this question.  It depends on the patients health and their eye health.  An 80 year old should definitely have an eye exam periodically.

No: Congrats on having such good vision! maintaining eye health depends on many factors, of which a healthy diet is one of them. While carrots can be good for you, the chemical they provide can be overdone - you can turn orange! better to eat a balanced diet, avoid eyestrain, bright lights, dangerous visual habits, smoke exposure and so on.

what does it mean if my vision changes every couple mins?

Probably dry eye: This is most common when first waking up and the blurry vision is temporary. Artificial tears over the counter will help. Make sure it does NOT contain any redness or itching reliever in it. Just a pure lubricating drop. Use this through out the day and when waking up.  Generally 3-4x/day. Dry eye is very common. If the blurry vision persists, see an eye doctor. good luck.
