Common and relatively mild se are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite mild temporary skin rash with or without itching, sensitivity to sunlight. But, overall quite safe.

If you were: ...diagnosed with Lyme arthritis, you may continue to have symptoms for a while.  That's one reason you were put on a long duration of therapy.  Doxycycline itself can can joint pain.  Also, as the organism (a spirochete) is eradicated by the antibiotic , a mild autoimmune reaction that occurs may also cause joint main.  Continue therapy and follow up with your doctor.

Chronic manifestations attributed to lyme disease seldom respond to antibiotic therapy and are considered by many to be immune system mediated symptoms, perhaps to products of the spirochaete that have remained in the body rather than to active infection.

Treatment of lyme: Lyme disease is an extremely complex illness sometimes , and what is diagnosed as lyme may include other "piggyback" infections. A simple case of lyme discovered early may resolve completely , but cases that are not diagnosed early may become chronic . Yes but: The safe amount varies among individuals and in general women cannot tolerate alcohol as well. 
Any amount of alcohol which causes any type of impairment is not good. In general, one should drink no more than two servings of alcohol a day regardless of what medication you take.

Lyme: You should take the antibiotic for the entire course then followup with your physician if you are still having symptoms.

Blood: Usually bright red blood results from hemorrhoidal bleeding and is less concerning than a darker, purplish jelly like blood which stems from higher up. See a doctor today. Check a CBC to evaluate for anemia. Have an exam to see if you have bleeding hemorrhoids. Stop any blood thinners like aspiring. Please get help.
