Yes but: The safe amount varies among individuals and in general women cannot tolerate alcohol as well. Any amount of alcohol which causes any type of impairment is not good. In general, one should drink no more than two servings of alcohol a day regardless of what medication you take.

Not recommended: This may decrease the effectiveness of the doxycycline and potentiate the effects of the alcohol and cause GI side effects
