Many poss. reasons: Most likely reason is crack tooth syndrome.  You dentist will need to do a thorough exam to rule out decay, periodontitis, tooth abscess, pulpitis, occlusal trauma, etc.

i had wisdom teeth surgery 4 weeks ago. now my molar next to where my wisdom tooth used to be hurts to bite down on food feels like a toothache with nerve pain. any ideas?

Dentist: Could be from normal shifting of tooth but could also be infection developing due to space left by removed tooth getting debris or germs trapped in it. Contact dentist who removed tooth and let them know what you are experiencing as you may need at least exam if not other intervention. Do no delay as infection could be bad. In meantime gargle several times daily with antibacterial mouthwash.

In any case if you want help please see a dentist who can examine you and determine the cause of your problem.

It's possible.: It is certainly possible that you could develop pneumonia from aspiration of solid and liquid material. Try to cough out as much of it as you can. If you do start coughing up phlegm, running fevers, or becoming short of breath, see your doctor immediately. Good luck.

if you aspirate a little bit of food, will you always get aspiration pneumonia or is there a chance you wont? how likely is it?  what would be the first sign? i was eating very creamy split pea soup and it went down the wrong pipe. possible?

Aspirated food: It actually is unusual to develop pneumonia after minor aspirations as the food mainly has just been in the trachea and not down into lungs. The trachea has one of the most responsive reflexes in the body. If even a little bit of foreign material gets in there you cough like crazy. This is to PREV it from getting down into the lungs and setting one up for possible infection developing.
