: EKG criteria for the diagnosis of takotsubo's syndrome are described. One would also have to demonstrate transient echocardiograohic signs of diminished myocardial contraction. In my opinion,the changes you describe don't qualify. Frequent ectopic beats and shortness of breath,especially at rest instead of with exertion, can be caused by stress and anxiety. What does your cardiologist think?

Myocarditis. : We would expect troponin and ECG abnormalities with myocarditis.  Inflammation of the myocardium should cause the release of troponin.

Your heart is ok: If your EKG, troponin and stress test are normal, your heart is probably not the cause of your pain. If it hurts to touch then it is likely that your pain is associated with the chest wall and not the heart/lungs inside. Without an exam it’s not possible to diagnose your problem. Ask your Dr what you can do to reduce the pain.

Anxiety/depression: If the blood work included thyroid functiin tests and other routine screening tests, which your doctor would do given that you went through several tests as ecg &amp; stress test, you may want to ask for psychiatry referral, meanwhile try to have enough sleep and some physical activity, if you can, every day, wish you well

See below: You've not mentioned what your kidney function is. A serum creatinine is necessary. Are you overweight? This is assoc with htn. Do you have family members with htn?  When your BP is elevated, what are you doing? BP should be measured at complete rest for 15 minutes. Do you have symptoms when your BP is high? Is it hot there? - that alone could do it.

chest pains 4 weeks ago troponin 10 then 9 when repeated. ecgs ok. discharged with omeprazole and cardiac review - waiting for ct angiogram. yesterday chest pains again troponin was 7 ecg ok discharged to wait for angiogram. should i be worried?

: The normal range of Troponin varies by laboratories, between hospitals and countries, so we can not say much about these numbers and we do not know besides your age and gender if you have risks factors for CAD such as smoking, taking meds for blood pressure or lipid problem and if you were given any medication for chest pain or just Omeprazole for possible GERD pain.

There are many: causes of inverted Twaves on an EKG including being a normal variant for you. Myocarditis, stroke, chemical or metabolic abnormalities and NORMAL.  If this is highly concerning for you make an appointment with a cardiologist for an evaluation.
