It could be : A haglund's deformity, retrocalcaneal bursitis, a xanthoma or cholesterol deposit, a partial tear, tendonitis, i would recommend you get it checked out.

left calf pain, tightness and swelling since summer. noticed a large painful lump near the achilles tendon. it feels about the size of a golf ball. ?

Requires examination: orthopedic exam and imaging as well as antiinflammatory therapy, You may have an Achilles tendon cyst which may require excision or aspiration. The calf pain is worrisome and I suggest a venous doppler ( ultrasound) of your left lower leg with comparison to the right leg.

See a foot: Ankle doc, that lump is indicating the achilles is not right......Certainly no physical activity i.E running or it will tear......A heel lift is a good idea, ice, massage etc.

Piezogenic papules: "small lumps" could be due to a variety of skin or soft tissue conditions.  One common cause is piezogenic pedal papules which are small white bumps that may form on the outside of the heel. These bumps are more prominent when pressure is exerted on the feet when standing.  These papules are normally painless, however, in some cases mild to moderate pain may exist with added pressure to the heel.

pain in achilles tendon getting worse espcially in the morning and after resting. there is now a small lump on the achilles tendon  above the heel that is very tender to touch. what should i do? i am a spanish dancer?

Injury: An Achilles tendon tear or even rupture is not uncommon in athletes, dancers, and even regular folks doing routine exercise.  See an orthopedic surgeon.  Put your dancing on hold until this is stabilized.

i have a painless lump on my anterior tibialis ligament and my achilles tendon on my left foot. no trauma. what could it be.

This could be one of: several possibilities the most common being a ganglion cyst or possibly a small fatty tumor called a lipoma.  If it changes in size or you are not sure concerning what it is especially if it is firm, irregular and appears fixed (not mobile) get it checked out.

58y/o female- sore, warm to the touch, quarter sized lumps below her achilles' tendon. will call doc monday if not gone, but could this be gout?

Is it possible? Yes: Does it sound like it? Not really. First off that's not really a joint area and gout usually affects joints. Without seeing the lumps it is hard to take a guess....I am it sure why hey would "disappear" by Monday.....if there is anyway you can show us a picture that would be helpful in us helping you.

Orthopedic: You should be evaluated and treated by an orthopedic surgeon. The lump in question may not be septic but could be a cyst, fibrous scar, or a foreign body reaction. Sepsis implies infection which would have associated redness, burning and tenderness.
