It could be : A haglund's deformity, retrocalcaneal bursitis, a xanthoma or cholesterol deposit, a partial tear, tendonitis, i would recommend you get it checked out.

Pump bump?: It may be a bursa (fluid sac) or retrograde heel spurs or other pathology. Sometimes the tendon can have calcified or scar tissue develop from micro trauma or unknown etiology. Please see a specialist for imaging studies and definitive treatments. Best of luck.

An exam is needed!: There are a number of things. A painful lump on the tendon can range from a cyst to a calcification, or even the beginning of a rupture. There needs to be more info given. I will say that in view that it is on the achilles tendon (a very large tendon) and you are having pain, it needs to be looked at by a physician.
