Blood differences: Circulating levels of sex hormones are different. White blood cells, like all cells, have either an X or a Y chromosome. There may be subtle differences in leukocyte function as a result, but their fundamental functions are the same. Everything else is exactly the same. If it weren't, treating men and women with serious illnesses would be even more complex than it is.

Many reasons: Limited insight and self-awareness coupled with low self esteem and often a history of abuse are often characteristics of abusers.  Abusers tend to blame their victims but abuse is the result of something wrong with the abuser not the victim.  Adherence to strong gender roles, presence of a toddler/teen in the home, holidays, and football are all stressors that increase chances of abusive episodoe.

Ecstacy part 1: Abuse of any illegal substance is a major health issue.  Someone may abuse ecstacy for recreational reasons (most common). Or as self medication. Generally, self medication with stimulants usually occurs with longer acting ones like methamphetamine or cocaine.  All of these illicit drugs are dangerous, with reasonably high mortality even after a single use.  Often"e" users "stack" the pills.

Not necessarily: While it could happen, a man with trait has a 50% chance of passing the trait gene  in any pregnancy. He could also pass the non-trait normal gene.Every pregnancy could have trait or normal outcome.

Genetic trait: Sickle cell anemia is an inherited genetic trait. Not all children will express the gene by having sc anemia. It is very common in african-american populations.

Yes, given that ...: Assuming that the mother is the same for all three children and that she does not have sickle cell disease or trait, the scenario you describe means he has sickle cell trait. He has a 50% chance for any given child of passing on sickle cell trait on to them.
