Blood differences: Circulating levels of sex hormones are different. White blood cells, like all cells, have either an X or a Y chromosome. There may be subtle differences in leukocyte function as a result, but their fundamental functions are the same. Everything else is exactly the same. If it weren't, treating men and women with serious illnesses would be even more complex than it is.
