Absolutely Not: Once you start peritoneal dialysis (pd), you will now have a team of doctors.  The nephrologist will handle your medical care associated with pd.  However you will still need annual check ups from your pmd and teh ability to drop in when you may develop a cold.

Nephrotoxicity: none of the medications that you listed are nephrotixic. Gemfibrozil may be nephrotixic indirectly by causing rhabdomyolysis-muscle injury, which subsequently can cause renal injury
