Yes: You can have referred pain from a lower tooth to the area in front of the ear.  More likely, though, these are separate and distinct issues.  See your dentist to rx your fractured tooth and your physician to rx your earache.

Rare: I have never heard of that happening. It is possible that there might already be a crack in a tooth that is further exposed by a dental cleaning. Dental cleaning is good for your and harmless.

Depends: Can't tell how difficult the extraction was, but a couple of day's worth of discomfort is not out of the ordinary. Pain meds should take the edge off of the pain. Always a chance of dry socket.. Speak to your dentist if needed.

Tooth pain: When was the root canal done, and on which tooth?This requires a lot more information, including a  clinical exam, pre- and post-op x-rays of the tooth that had a root canal,  plus an exam and x-rays of surrounding teeth and jaw.
You might want to see another endodontist, dentist or oral surgeon for a second opinion.

Unfortunately no: Without an examination with radiographs, your condition cannot be diagnosed and treated. These problems are best treated locally by a dentist who can see you and test all your other teeth, as well as your sinuses and bone. Fractured teeth do cause pain, so hopefully your problem has been solved..

i had a root canal tooth that fractured then infected and the remaining tooth had to be surgically removed. the cavity is filled with calcium granules and stitched up now.

Needs to heal: You appear to have had an extraction with a bone graft. Follow your dentist's post operative instructions. It usually take a wound like that a week or two to heal.

Not Always: A hairline crack may not be visible on any radiograph. It will, however, allow saliva (and bacteria) to seep in and cause inflammation and possibly an infection. Micromovement of the tooth pieces upon biting will also irritate the surrounding bone.

Probably not: Not today under most circumstances. In my opinion an implant would be more reliable.

Follow these steps:: 1. Save any pieces.
2. Rinse the mouth using warm water; rinse any broken pieces. 
3. If there's bleeding, apply a piece of gauze or a teabag to the area for about 10 minutes or until the bleeding stops.
4. Apply a cold compress to the outside of the mouth, cheek, or lip near the broken/chipped tooth to keep any swelling down and relieve pain.
5. See your dentist as soon as possible.

Consult your DDS: In some cases, extracting the tooth or broken root makes the most sense. Only your dentist can decide if the tooth needs to be extracted or may be saved.
