i have had a tooth abscess for sometime now. i have developed a real bad skin rash. can this be related?

Depends: If the rash is immediately adjacent to the abscess it could be related but not necessarily. Delaying treatment on a dental abscess is never a good idea so please get it looked at ASAP.

i was put on amoxicillin for a tooth abscess. i broke out in hive; stopped taking the med, but still have the bumps. how long until my skin clears?

Call dentist: You should take benedryl  and this will help, the hives clear up quickly. The time will depend on how serious your allergic reaction is.  Call the dentist that is treating your tooth and let them know what happened.  It is still important to treat your infection.

what could cause hard swelling under the skin above the maxillary sinus? it comes and goes i had a lower tooth abscess and i have been taken clindmaycin and it came back inside of nose has been dry. should i be worried? what could this be?

Abscess?: It could be an infection.  You need an X-ray and dental exam

have a tooth abscess being treated for it. but ive devolved leg and foot pain the last day or so. im also tired. can this be signs of sepsis? or is it in my head. i dont have a fever my bp is normal, normal 02 levels do you have to have a fever?

: A periapical tooth abcess is sepsis but I think it's localized in your case with no relationship to leg &amp; foot pain.  More description of this pain would help us give a cause for those symptoms. See your physician as needed.

Depends: Varies between 7-10 days, assuming that you are on the correct antibioticm dose of antibiotic, metabolsm and/or other underlying medical conditions.

Falling creatinine: If i read your question correctly, your creatinine (c) fell from 3.0 to 1.9 mg/dl in 20 days. As your c fell, it seems as if you had acute kidney failure, not "early nephropathy". You can take Clindamycin without a dose reduction if you have kidney disease as it is not cleared by the kidneys. Speak to your doctor about the cause of your "nephropathy". Good luck.

Symptoms: Pain - usually a dull ache that feels 'deeper' that the tooth. Although its worth mentioning many abscesses are painless.
Swelling- usually localized to the aree of the gums around the roots of the affected tooth.
Drainage - a 'pimple' or bump that might produce pus, or not at all.
Pain to touch or biting.

Very: Especially if you have things like diabetes or a poor immune system.  We worry about bacteria from the tooth abscess getting into the bloodstream and causing worse problems.  Please get it checked out!

Yes: But not likely.  Spontaneous drainage and resolution is conceivable but the risk here is extremely high, and the benefits of waiting for this improbable cure to occur are minimal.  Common sense would have you in a dental chair asap.

See dentist: I would suggest seeing a dentist for an evaluation.  An abscess if left untreated could be life threatening.
