See dentist: I would suggest seeing a dentist for an evaluation. An abscess if left untreated could be life threatening.

See a dentist: Get the tooth treated asap. You will either need a root canal or have the tooth removed. Antibiotic medication has its limits. Good luck.

Diagnose the cause: The cause of tooth abscess must be diagnosed. It could be periodontally or endodontically. Periodontal abcess treated by debridement and eliminates food impaction. Endodontal abcess must be treated with root canal procedure.

See your dentist..: A dentist can determine the exact cause of the infection. After determining the cause the dentist may be able to manage it on his/her own. At times the dentist may need to refer to perhaps an oral surgeon or an endodontist. I would not allow the abscess to remain untreated.
