Depends: If the rash is immediately adjacent to the abscess it could be related but not necessarily. Delaying treatment on a dental abscess is never a good idea so please get it looked at ASAP.

Possibly: An abscess is a virulent infection. Abscesses do not self-cure. As they spread they can cause damage to other organ systems. Please seek emergency dental treatment now.

Regardless....: Regardless of whether or not there is a relationship, you need to: 1-GET THE TOOTH ABSCESS TREATED ASAP AS INFECTIONS CAN SPREAD AND CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE. 2-SEE YOUR MD ASAP REGARDING THE RASH AS THERE ARE MANY POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOME CAN BE LIFE THREATENING. Do not wait with these types of symptoms now or in the future.
