tongue tie and two lip ties.doesn't affect speech.what is the surgery procedure for this? will it change my speech or alter my lip/mouth without ties?

See Oral Surgeon: It would be best to see an oral surgeon who can actually examine you and first determine whether or not you would benefit from any surgical procedure. There may be a periodontal reason for surgery as well. If needed, the os can answer all your questions better than we can. In general it's a simple procedure and will not affect speech, etc.

Do it: That lingual frenum is not needed and you don't want your daughter to have speech issues.

Speech issues: Many kids who are tongue tied do not have speech issues. COuld be oral motor immaturity or low tone, or large adenoids could be a factor.  Sppech therapy at this age for articulation problems is generally effective.

Not likely: For many people being tongue tied actually causes speech issues, relaxing this attachment should not cause speech issues and may improve any present now.

Ankyloglossia: It will depend on the severity of the condition. It is uncertain as to who will develop speech problems and there is no way to predict at young age who will need treatment. It is possible for children with ankyloglossia to have normal speech. Surgical intervention is an option with proven improvement of speech.

Frenulotomy: The common procedure for tongue tie is called a frenulotomy, which cuts back the fibrous attachment leaving some behind.A frenulectomy would be a more extensive procedure.  If done in the newborn period this is rather simple, if older, it often requires more involved assistance/anesthesia.

Simple procedure: The repair can be as simple as just snipping it under local or performing a frenoplasty where it is sectioned and tissue rearranged to lengthen the area. You should speak with an ENT doctor if you would like something done.

Simple: The band of tissue that tethers the tongue to the floor of mouth is divided. There are many ways to do this division (scissors, cautery). Sometimes that is all that is needed. Sometimes the doctor will place a few dissolvable stitches to help it heal properly. In children, we often will do this in the or with sedation. In older kids or adults, this can often be done in the office.

Anxiety,seizure,gbs: you might  have anxiety disorder,seizure disorder diabetes mellitus,guillian barre syndrome,tongue tie.this is not familial.may be related to migraine or cluster headaches.

the frenulum of my tongue always hurts. i'm 17  i can't reach my tongue over my bottom lip. been liked this for a long time. do i have my tongue tied?

Sounds like you do: If you are unable to protrude your tongue past your lower lip, it certainly seems as though your are tongue tied. You should consult with an ENT to consider a frenectomy
