what is the best treatment for ossifying fibroma, total resection surgery or conservative surgery?

Depends: This is a benign tumor. The size and location dictate the surgical approach. If these tumors get large enough and/ or start to impinge on vital structures, the surgery should be complete removal.. I am not sure what you mean by conservative, and more info is needed for your situation to give you a more definitive answer.

i previously asked about pain after ovarian fibroma removal 3mths ago. the dr said possible scarring to adjacent tissue. is that dangerous? treatment?

Yes possible : Any time you have surgery it is possible to develope scar tissue around the surgical area. There is no easy fix. The only real way is to go an surgically remove the scar tissue. Sometimes that helps.

None: Except for treatment of symptoms. It is something you are born with and affects your nerve causing tumors.  When they cause other symptoms those other symptoms can be treated.

i have been told i have a fibroma tumor in my arm.  they say it is cosmetic and therefor doesn't require treatment.  it is causing pain and use of arm can be difficult.  why won't they listen?

Surgical removal: Fibromas or lipomas are benign, they can be left alone if not bothering you. But if it has started causing discomfort it should be removed.

i have a fibroma on my tongue been there for years it hasn't went away yet or  diminished how do you get those and how do you get rid of them?

Irritation: ..Is usually the source of benign fibromas. They can be excised but if the irritation that caused it in the first place continues, it will most likely recur. On the tongue, chronic bite injuries can cause this.

small fibroma removed from tip of my tongue yesterday w/stitches too.today my tongue is swollen in and around the that area.is this common/normal?

Not common: Lesions of tip of tongue or dorsal surface are essentially benign.  In the anterior 2/3 of tongue, malignancies only arise on lateral edge.  When lesion excised, I assume under local, the sutures usually control the incision with minimal swelling.  I suspect because of vascularity of area that a suture may have caught a blood vessel and swelling is  a hematoma.  As such warm gargles may help

have small pea size lump (2mm) inside my tongue near the tip.  had for 5 yrs & seen ent for over a year who says it's fibroma & 0% cancer but will not biopsy due to poten tongue damage. is that right?

Sounds ok: If it's unchanged in 5 years, it is unlikely to be a cancer. You could always get a second opinion from another ENT or an oral surgeon. Hope this helps!

No: A mouth fibroma may be a benign growth that is firm and non-cancerous, and could even be one type called a "bite fibroma" caused by repeated (inadvertent) damage to the inner cheek by biting the mucosa while chewing. You can also get mouth fibromas from chewing your lip or running the same spot over a chipped tooth, for example. Fibroma is not a cancer, but a non-biopsied growth could be!

the bump on the inside of my mouth disappears on its own usually in a day or two, would it still be fibroma or mucocele?

Bump: the only way to determine what the bump is would be by having it examined by a dentist or an oral surgeon.  But since it is gone and the area of concern has healed then don't worry about it.

i have not seen a picture of anything that looks like the bump i have in my mouth.   what else could it be?  i have seen stoliath,  fibroma, etc.

See doctor: An ENT or oral surgeon needs to evaluate and diagnose what you have...   it could be a number of different things..
