i'm feeling feverish and unable to sleep, when i do i get sleep paralysis and find it hard to stay calm. i'm also throwing up fairly regularly. help?

See a pediatrician: Unexplained vomiting could be a sign of an underlying problem and shouldn’t be ignored, even if he seems fine in between vomiting.  A thorough history, including an evaluation of his diet, labwork  and physical exam is recommended.  It would help to know when this began and how frequent, any diet changes, new medication or supplements (like vitamins) any changes in his stools &amp; check ht and wt.

No: No it is not harmful no matter how frequently done. It's definitely a lot safer than getting someone pregnant, contracting an std, having multiple partners, or going through the emotional roller coaster associated with such relationships.

Some thoughts...: Some causes of a late period include: excessive weight loss or weight gain, increased exercising, emotional stress, having an illness, traveling, medicines (like birth control pills), hormonal imbalances (from brain, thyroid, ovaries, adrenals), etc… Seeing one's doctor is a good idea if symptoms are recurring, persistent, or worrisome. Pregnancy is a cause of a missed period, if sexually active.

DSPS: You most likely have delayed sleep phase syndrome, you can use evening melatonin, or morning light 2000 or 10000 lux under md supervision, light 2 hours before wake time, not any earlier and sleep restriction therapy.

Virus: Usually is self-limiting, but needs symptom management with decongestants & expectorants & tylenol, (acetaminophen) in to prevent extended secondary infections, which may be more serious.

Avoid &gt; 4-5 yolks/wk: However, generally, some recommendations suggest limiting your egg consumption to less than 4 per week.  Mainly the yolk contains the high cholesterol component, so eating more egg whites should be no problem.  Egg white is mainly protein.

Not long term: Nyquil  contains doxylamine (antihistamine) that can be used short term as a sedative. If you take it chronically, you could develop rebound insomnia.
