Different Anatomy: A double outlet right ventricle means that both aorta (the blood vessel that carries oxygen rich blood to the body) and the pulmonary artery ( the blood vessel that carries oxygen poor blood to the lungs) arise from the same chamber of the heart, the right ventricle. The problem is that the aorta then carries oxygen poor blood to the body. The aorta normally originates from the left ventricle-.

TAPVC: Supracardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (return) is a congenital heart defect where the pulmonary veins do not connect normally to the left atrium.  Typically, though, an experienced congenital heart surgeon can completely repair this defect. After successful surgery, patients can go on to live a normal life.  Surgery is typically done soon after diagnosis.

Patent Foramen Ovale: Prior to birth, there is an opening (foramen or hole) between the two upper chambers of the heart, it is called the foremen ovale.  The foreman ovale usually closes shortly after birth.  If it does not close, the condition is called patent foramen ovale (PFO). PFO is common. It occurs in one of every four people. f there are no other heart conditions or complications, treatment is not necessary.

Depends: It depends on what you mean by rapid and if it is sustained - some people run a little fast (100-120) and this can be chronic - certainly if you are having rapid heart rates of 150 beats or more per minute with shortness of breath and / or chest pain you should go to the er.   If you are just running a little fast then you should make an appointment to see your doctor for checkup.

6/2013 i felt weak, dizzy, bp was 80/50. doc on weekend call thought dehydration. just had ekg,showed heart attack!could this have happened last june?

Hard to know.: It is hard to know unless you had EKG or blood tests done last June when you had the symptoms. The EKG finding of heart attack now may tell the age of the heart attack. If it is acute, it willnot be from last year. If it is old, then it is possible.

Maybe not: With all those in-person tests being normal, risk of peripheral neuropathy is pretty low.  Can’t tell for sure without a more careful exam by a Neurologist.  Check with one if you are still worried.

Just perhaps, guidance regarding long-term withdrawal from alcohol may be more beneficial

loved one (35 m) with schizophrenia started clozapine 2 weeks ago. weekly blood tests. he was sweating and banging around his room a couple nights ago. got the call from doc that troponin levels high. in hospital stable now. potentially heart attack?

: Ask their doctor how they interpreted the troponin. It is a marker for heart muscle damage but it's unlikely this was a heart attack at age 35. I suspect they have rhabdomyolysis which is caused by breakdown of skeletal muscle [from trauma or repetitive actions like playing congas] or dehydration releasing myoglobin into the blood which can damage the kidney. Troponin is high in Rhabdomyolysis too
