Hard work: It doesn't matter what machine you use or what type of exercise that you do. Find something that you enjoy, or at least can tolerate, and do it regularly as part of a diet and exercise program. Start slow and gradually increase. Goal weight loss should be 2-3lbs per week, so your weight loss goals are reasonable. Good luck

: The best one is the one you will use. All exercise equipment has pros and cons, and if you have underlying health problems, do consult with your doctor to avoid making them worse. You want something you are motivated to use that is not likely to cause an injury. I have enjoyed all the machines you list. Currently am enjoying an interactive stationary bike with a subscription for classes and rides.

The best exercises: and related equipment are the ones we are most likely t use.  My personal choice is a treadmill because you can adjust the speed, listen to ipod, etc.easily while exercising.  Peace and good health.

Try to: Exercise machines (not sure exactly which
youre referring to) try to simulate activities
of different sports to some extent
but they can never really do that
the machines try to strengthen the muscles
that are most intrinsic to particular sports 
also plyometrics can be helpful to gear oneself toward a specific sport or activity
unfortunately, no one activity can truly
equal actually playing sport.

Lots of options: There are a lot of different tens machines on the market and each manufacturer will tell you why their machine is better than all the rest. I have been unimpressed with the differences. I would check with your doctor or, if you are paying cash for one, look on ebay and try one of the less expensive ones. It may work just fine.

The assumptions that fruits and vegetables are 'healthy' is just that: an assumption.  Fruits and vegetables are almost universally 100% carbohydrate calories and we now know that carbohydrates, especially in concentrated doses is the main cause of obesity. 

Juicing leads to weight gain.
