what type of test is done to check for polyps in males?

Polyps Where?: I am not clear what part of a males body you are referring to.  If you mean polyps in the colon, a colonoscopy would be the best test to identify and biopsy them.

i m 68 year old male with multiple gb polyps of 2mm. but earlier us test measured 4mm. can polyps shrink? shall i remove gb? i have them for 6 years.

Small: Small polyps less than 10 mm can be observed. Shrinking ones can be observed, if you do not have gallstones. If you are having uncomfortable or painful gallbladder conditions then surgery may help relieve the symptoms. If the polyps concern you then ask a surgeon for their opinion.

i have had 2 colonoscopies 2010 & 2021. the 1st one no polyps but could not see all not cleaned out enough. 2nd clipped 2 polyps said same, could not see enough. i was expelling only water 12 hrs before test. what should i do. i followed prep to a t?

what are the tests for colonic polyps?

Colonoscopy: Colonoscopy is used to detect polyps and remove them. Virtual colonosocpy, barium enema xray can only detect them and you will need a colonosocpy to remove them. Once removed thay are analyzed by pathology to determine the type of polyps and to make recommendation for follow up colonosocpy to detect new growth of polyps.

Neutropenia: And lymphocytosis, can be due to several causes, the most common is viral infection, but need to interpreted in a clinical context and the absolute numbers are more accurate than percentage.  The doctor who ordered the test can explain better, and the reason for   repeating it, best wishes

i got a colonoscopy and test results revealed i have 4 polyps. he said that i don't have any polyps and that i only have benign tissue. why is he saying that i don't have any polyps?

: Unknown. You really need to discuss your concerns with your gastroenterologist.

2 docs said there are no lab tests for polyps removed during colnoscopy. so how is it determined if they are cancerous?

: I am not sure if the pathology report is also included in the lab tests you mention. After colonoscopy with polypectomy, polyp(s) is (are) always sent for pathology to define if the polyp is a hyperplastic polyp, an adenomatous polyp or a precancerous lesion, etc. In essence, pathology is necessary for determining if a polyp is benign or precancerous. See below: The whole colon is generally examined during colonoscopy. In addition to removing the polyp, you doctor should examine rest of your colon to ensure that there are no other lesions.

what is the cost for diagnostic lab test to determine if polyps removed during colonoscopy are cancerous? i had 2 removed and my ins.was billed $10,000 of which i have to pay $1500. seems excessive being that the colonoscopy only cost my in $350?
