i think i have tendonitis. palm of hand is red  and are sore. also wrist/hand part is also sore. also pain in front of shoulder possibly rotator cuff.?

Possibly: However, there is a whole spectrum of problems in and around the shoulder that can be involved: from pinched nerves in your neck, to biceps tendinitis, to rotator cuff tears. All of these may cause swelling that travels down to the hands, causing pain and difficulty. Because of this, a thorough history and examination would prove quite valuable.

the palm area below my index fingers on both hands is slightly swollen and my fingers are stiff.  could this be finger tendonitis from overuse?

See below:: Possibly yes, but it happening on both sides at the same time is uncommon. It could be a number of other things in a 35 yo female, like rheumatoid. Common things like a ganglion cysts, trigger fingers etc, would be more likely cause of your problem.
Consulting your ortho or hand surgeon would be beneficial for you.

Tendinitis : The best treatment would be to rest the wrist( if that's what you mean by elevate).  Applying a resting splint that helps keep the wrist in a neutral position would work best to decrease irritation to those tendons and other soft tissues.

i iced my hand with tendonitis in 15 minute intervals and it turned blue. what does that mean? should i not ice it at all?

Accepted Answer

Too often: Decrease the frequency and duration of the ice pack application. Don't apply the ice pack directly to the skin. Use a light cloth as a barrier between the skin and ice pack.
