No: We don't treat anxiety with benzos alone. Actually bezos are used as auxiliary ( helping the main treatment track) medications only. You clearly have developed tolerant and your anxiety is getting worse. Solution is to see a psychiatrist  specializing in anxiety so he can do the proper assessment of the situation and put a plan to get you back on track and "regulate" your anxiety.

No benzo monotherapy: As we discussed earlier, we don't use benzos for treatment of anxiety as monotherapy. We try to use smaller dosages in combination with anxiety modulators ( some antidepressants have that property) . When treating anxiety or otherwise we try to use other sleep mess such as trazodone, doxepin, small dosage of Amitriptyline ..Etc.

Depends: Depends on what the bottle is labelled. These are controlled medications and should be taken as directed on bottle.
Can consult your pharmacist as they have a list of your prescriptions if in doubt of how to use them.
See a Doctor for insomnia treatment if you are medicating yourself. Best way to get better faster.

No: Those are not the ideal meds for insomnia. Consider time release melatonin, and explore sleep hygiene. Also aerobic exercise. Consider that a methylation insufficiency may be adding to the problem. Consider testing for mthfr and comt genes. Cut back on caffeine. Avoid alcohol before bedtime. Ambien, (zolpidem) or even Remeron may keep you asleep longer.

Buck up, jazZ: Spinal tap is the most minor of minor procedures. Nothing to be scared of. Valium is a brand name of the generic drug diazepam. Sound similar to temazepam? That's because both are benzodiazepines. You'd be taking 2 benzodiazepines &amp; risking oversedation &amp; respiratory depression. Knowledge is power. Arm yourself, i.e., do your homework: empowering knowledge is out there.

Shoulder pain: Valium for shoulder pain - this is a first? I would find out the cause of the pain firstly before she starts taking Valium. The use of benzodiazepines in the elderly is not to be taken lightly due to risk. I am quite sure is is on other medication as well.
