Why and when?: The most important question is why are you taking these medications & are they the most effective ones for your symptoms?Both are benzodiazepines. Temazepam or Restoril (temazepam) is usually used as a sleep medication & Valium is a tranquilizer that lasts 4-6 hours. Both can be habit forming. There are other medications that can be considered as well as therapy. Obviously talk it through with your do doctor
