For female:: Tanner 1 is no pubic hair, no breasts; 2 is some breast tissue and a few pubic hairs; 3 is more breast tissue,more and coarser pubic hair; 4 is more breast tissue, even more pubic hair; 5 is adult breast, adult pubic hair distribution. For male:1 is no penis,testicle enlargement and no pubic hair; 2 is sl enlarged penis &amp; testicles,few hairs,3, 4 &amp; 5 are more enlargement &amp; more hair.

Normal for age: At this stage of puberty your body shows features of a developing young man, i. e., appearance of some facial and armpit hair, pubic hair, acne, voice changes, mild increase in size of penis and scrotum, ability to "ejaculate" (produce semen) as evidenced by occasional "wet dreams" , etc. These trends continue gradually from here on until almost full sexual maturity by age 16-18.

Basics: Tanner stages are basic to the process as described in his original research. Although ethnicity can factor in with time of onset/completion they do not change the stages as describes. A simple Google or Bing search can bring up reference charts.

Some basics: You are at your predicted final height based on parental numbers.An x-ray of your wrist/hand could be assessed for bone maturity. If the growth centers in that study are closed, you are finished growing taller. If open, you may grow some.Later tanner stages often occur after you stop growing taller.

: If your tanner stage is 4.3 then it is unlikely that you will grow much more. You can ask for a bone age to see if your plates are fused and your growth is complete.

It won't : Testosterone doesn't cause testicular enlargement. In fact it can do the opposite by suppressing the pituitary gland's release of lh.  We use it to induce puberty in small doses when testes are pre-pubertal size. The testicular enlargement that occurs is from the boy's own lh.  If testicular growth is arrested, a pediatric endocrinologist should be consulted for the child.
