Steroid cream: Use hot moist packs and you can rub 1% over the counter hydro-cortisone cream 2 times daily on the bit area until swelling is gone.  Do not use the steroid cream in the eye nor more than 2 weeks.  See your family doctor if it gets worse.

Could be: Mrsa infection which people commonly mistake for spider/bug bites. See your doctor.

Depends on variables: If the bite became infected and the swelling came up after infection set it this would be reasonable.If your ear is just swollen as part of the bite reaction, the antibiotic would not do anything to help.Diphenhydramine or Cetirizine would handle the swelling better.

Allergy: It could be relation to something.  If there is no pain or redness then it couldneallergic reaction.  Try icing it to see if it helps.  If persist or worse then see an eye doc.

Bug bite: If it is itchy, then probably it is not infected.   If it is painful, then it could be infected or could be a spider bite, either way see a doctor.

Lip: It could be many things. From an infection like herpes to an allergic reaction. He needs to be seen by a doctor. :)

Angioedema: Angioedema is an allergic reaction to something internal or external. Its related to hives and generally clears after 24 hours. Do you notice a relationship to any foods, medications,temperature exposure,physical exercise? Antihistamines or atarax (hydroxyzine) help treat or prevent this reaction. An allergist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you.

Don't lance it: Lion - lancing such a swelling could produce a more severe infection and scarring.  My suggestion is to apply warm moist compresses to the area.  The swelling should either drain or dissipate with the warm moist application for a couple of minutes, 4-5 times a day.

i have a mole on my face thats enlarged. it has swollen up like a bug bite, i guess you could say. it has excreted a white substance, much like a pimple. should i be concerned?

: Since it excreted a white substance, it is not a mole. It sounds like a sebaceous cyst and probably became infected. Such infections might leave significant scars. Best to see a doctor for advice about treatment (e.g. with an antibiotic) and/or possible surgical removal. Good luck.
