A member asked:

What are some causes of a unilateral swollen lip without a history of trauma or bug bite?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Angioedema: Angioedema is an allergic reaction to something internal or external. Its related to hives and generally clears after 24 hours. Do you notice a relationship to any foods, medications, temperature exposure, physical exercise? Antihistamines or atarax (hydroxyzine) help treat or prevent this reaction. An allergist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you.
