hey i'm 19 and my throat is on for i've tried everything n it's not day 3 just to swallow is like a knife going down my throat any suggestions

Possible strep: You may have a step infection that is causing your discomfort.  If it is not getting any better and you are running a fever, you should go to your medical doctor, or an urgent care.

Possible causes: Canker sores way back in your tongue, throat or epiglottis. Eagle's syndrome another possibility. See an ENT doctor when symptoms are active

DMD/ENT Evaluation: Please see your DMD or ENT as soon as possible.  Sharp pain is nothing to play with and may be indicative of acute infection, which in the case of the throat, can cause loss of airway and, potentially, death.

Go to ER now: Yes, you may have tetanus. Call an ambulance and go to the er now. Do not try to drive yourself. Best wishes.

Not tetanus: You have up to 72 hours after the cut to get a tetanus shot. But even after that cut off, it can be helpful.  Tetanus takes a while to develop, so assume it was tuesday 3 days ago, it's not tetanus. But i can't rule out some other infection. Most skin infections won't cause throat symptoms. It's probably a sore throat completely unrelated to the cut. Go get checked for the throat a tetanus shot.

i cut my hand with a kitchen knife between thumb and index finger on tuesday. today i have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing.  could this be tetanus or another type of infection?

Tetanus: You should check your tetanus booster shot record. Did you get one in the past 10 years. Hand injury , sore throat and difficulty swallowing are both common conditions and in most cases are not related. If you can open your mouth wide, you don't have tetanus.

EVAL: I would seek medical evaluation. Some objects pass easily through the digestive tract. The problem with a bobby pin is that it is elongated and narrow. Thus it could get caught up in  or puncture the GI tract.

Go to hospital: Battery can leak and cause significant internal damage.

Foreign body: In general when swallowing a foreign body such as a pen lid you can expect to pass the foreign object in your stool in 5-7 days. Check your stools daily Sometimes eating bread or food helps to pass the foreign body more rapidly
